Gram Equipment has after the transfer of the Stormax and Norwood activities into the Gram Equipment group consolidated the best stick inserter technologies into the next generation high performance stick inserters marketed as Stormax by Gram Equipment.

The stick inserters are available in both an automatic version and a semiautomatic version. The automatic version is designed for bulk packed sticks and the semiautomatic for bundle sticks and features a new magazine design, a new finger stack system less sensible to stick quality, servo driven belt conveyor and clamps all in stainless steel. The PLC controlled machine also comes with a new developed software.
The use of servo technology brings several advantages. One is after detection of a missing stick on the belt conveyor the possibility to reload within the same stroke and avoid a faulty bar without stick.

• To contribute to the high efficient of the next generation stick inserter it comes with an option for a double stick magazine rather than the know backup magazine being the only machine on the market with this feature.
• The double magazine is a complete extra main magazine with stacker, bow-magazine, and outlet. This means:
• Gram Equipment double magazine is a complete extra main magazine and stacker - giving from 20-60 min of production time
• Magazine is rather to ensure long time stable production without frequent stick filling, than to have a back up at minor jams.
• Each of the two Main Magazines takes a complete Bulk of 10.000 sticks, they are at operator level on the floor, next to each other at the floor for easy access.
• The Double magazine switches over automatically in case of jams and is this way also substituting a "Back-up magazine"

All together the features will contribute positively to the overall plant efficiency and provide an attractive payback.

The automatic version can be designed to various stick types.
If the need for handling very special custom sticks emerges, a semi-automatic version is available. The semi-automatic version can be adapted to handle almost all kind of custom sticks

The stick inserters can be supplied for any known inline and rotary ice cream bar freezers as well as for extrusion lines
